Delivery gigs

Pros: fast to start, flexible schedule, immediate cash flow. You can sign up and be earning within days.

Cons: you're trading time for money. Earnings depend on orders, tips, and your market.

I started with Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Shipt around the Chicago suburbs. It's a solid way to get money coming in fast.

Flipping

Pros: bigger margins possible. You're building a skill and inventory. More control over your income.

Cons: slower to start. Requires upfront money for inventory. Learning curve for pricing, listing, and shipping.

I now resell on eBay, Facebook Marketplace, and Poshmark, sourcing from storage auctions.

My take

If you need cash fast, start with delivery gigs. Once you have cash flow, roll some of it into flipping inventory for bigger margins. That's the path I took.
